As Barnsley fans we all enjoy watching the blue half of Sheffield get thumped but now there is even more reason to watch Wednesday lose at League Two Rotherham tonight- we'll get seeded for the Second Round of the Carling Cup if they do.
It appeared that The Reds would not be seeded for tonight's draw after victories for Sheffield United and Hull City in the First Round. But the FA has now revealed if Rotherham defeat Wednesday tonight Barnsley will be seeded and therefore avoid the big guns which will include 12 Premier League sides.
So all together now: COME ON ROTHERHAM!!!!
Meanwhile new Danish striker Kim Christensen has been handed the number 14 shirt whilst Simon Davey has hinted at even MORE signings before the window shuts on 31st August.
He told www.barnsleyfc.co.uk:
"The deadline up coming up on August 31 and hopefully we can get one or two more in.
"I seem to be saying that every week and I am sure the Chairman will be having a word with me soon! We still have a couple of things on the go".
