Shrewsbury manager Sam Ricketts said:

“The whole game you have to remain concentrated and organised, especially after getting the goal,”

“Bar one episode we saw the game out well and that one episode, we didn’t concede because we put our bodies on the line.

“They were two great blocks. I didn’t even see who it was. What we are seeing now is a team who have that resilience.

“We came away from home and put in a performance that helped us control the game.

“All of that comes from being able to train and implement ideas. I would class this as a young team and you can see it growing.

“We have been able to spend that time on the training ground and that breeds confidence. We go into games knowing we can win.

“The level of consistency is what has improved recently – allowing us to win those game away from home.”
