Leicester director of football Dave Bassett is once again in charge of first-team affairs after Micky Adams stepped down as manager yesterday.
The former Reds manager said: "I am caretaker manager and I am here to help Leicester City in the short term.
"Whether it goes on for any longer than that will be discussed at board level. We will look around for a manager and that is what I have got to help Leicester City to do.
"Meanwhile, I will get on with the job of getting results for the club to keep our momentum going because we want to be in the top echelon of the league at the end of the season."
