Barnsley’s top scorer Daniel Bogdanovic played 90 minutes for his national side Malta today but failed to add to his solitary goal for his country in their 2-1 friendly defeat at home to Finland. A player with Barnsley connections did get the Maltese goal however. Michael Mifsud- who spent four months on loan at Oakwell at the end of the 2008-2009 season netted his ninth international goal.

The Finns hit back however with two goals in three minutes from Roman Eremenko and Mika Vayrynen earned them the win and consigned Malta to a fifth straight defeat.
