FA Cup Fourth Round: Stoke or Tamworth v Barnsley or Walsall

If Barnsley can get past Walsall in a FA Cup Third Round Replay a week on Tuesday, they will face the unglamorous delight of either Championship side Stoke City or Conference National side Tamworth away from home.

The Reds were the first tie drawn out in the draw on BBC at 1:30pm.

Stoke and Tamworth drew 0-0 at the weekend in Stoke's first FA Cup tie of the season whilst giant-killing Tamworth FA Cup record this season reads:

FA Cup Fourth Round Qualifier: Beat Altrincham 3-1

FA Cup First Round: Beat Bournemouth 2-1

FA Cup Second Round: Beat Hartlepool 2-1

So they certainly know how to beat League One Teams!!!!!

Barnsley have faced Stoke City 3 times in the FA Cup. Barnsley triumphed 2-1 back in 1937 and after drawing 3-3 back in 1989 The Reds triumphed 2-1 in the replay.

The most recent encounter between the two side was in the League Cup in 2000 with Stoke progressing with a 3-2 victory.

Barnsley have NEVER faced Tamworth.

The tie will most likely be played on Saturday 28th January 2006

Stoke or Tamworth for Barnsley or Walsall
