Reds defender Garry Monk is on course for an early comeback before the end of the season.
Monk suffered severe ankle ligament damage against Grimsby and only has a contract until the end of the season.
He has been out for a month but is now focusing on a return to first-team action inside the next few weeks and will be hoping to impress new boss Paul Hart enough to be offered a new contract.
