Reds latest foreign import Heinz Muller has today got his international clearance to finalise his transfer from Lillestrom to Barnsley for a fee of £170,000. The clearance also allows him to play against Darlington this evening in Round One of the Carling Cup.

Reds boss Simon Davey had told BBC Radio Sheffield of his frustration after Muller's clearance hadn't come through before Saturday's season opener with Coventry City:

"It was disappointing that he couldn't play on Saturday as all the paperwork was done.

"But we had to wait a few days for his clearance to come through."

Meanwhile, Derby have allowed on loan defender Lewin Nyatanga to play in tonight's Carling Cup match with Darlington.
