Norwich 2-0 Barnsley

Last updated : 19 March 2017 By Rob Miles (BarnsleyBoy)
Barnsley have now conceded three own goals this season- all by Angus MacDonald. It is the same amount as they conceded in the whole of last season, however two of those came in cup competitions.

The last time Barnsley conceded three league own goals in one season was 2013-2014 (4)

Barnsley fell behind in the 44th minute – they have conceded ten times between the 40th and 50th minutes this season

This was the ninth time Barnsley have failed to net in the Championship this season.

They have failed to score more than once in 10 of their last 11 matches- the 3-1 win at Aston Villa being the only exception.

That victory at Villa Park is Barnsley’s only win in their last 10 league matches, if they fail to defeat Sheffield Wednesday after the international break it would equal their worst run of the season (1 win in 11)

Barnsley have failed to win any of their past 15 trips to Norwich, losing eight including each of the last six.

The Reds have only ever won three times at Norwich, the last of which came in 1937 (they won three of their first four visits and have not done since)

Home or away Barnsley have defeated the Canaries just once in 13 meetings, losing 10.

The Reds have now failed to score a first half goal for six successive games- their worst run of the season and they have netted only two in their past 11 outings - both came in the same game, the 3-1 win at Aston Villa.
