One For Sorrow, Two For Joy

Following fierce rivals Sheffield Wednesday's 3-1 win over Rotherham United last night, the second round draw for the Carling Cup was made with several big Premiership teams entering the draw. Teams such as Middlesbrough, Portsmouth and Newcastle were in the hat and the Reds couldn't have got a better draw if we'd picked the balls ourselves.

We have been drawn away to Premiership giants Newcastle United in the Second Round of the Carling Cup. That means the Reds could be facing up to players such as Michael Owen, Obafemi Martins, Emre, Mark Viduka and many more stars.

It is the first time in a long while that the Reds have had a decent draw and it represents a potential banana-skin for perennial underachievers Newcastle but under Sam Allardyce that may all change this season.
