Former Reds striker Steve Cooper died in February 2004 at the age of just 39. To honour his memory, a group of Posh fans - with the full backing of Peterborough United Football Club are organising a Memorial Day at London Road on Sunday 1st May.

On 16th February, a year to the day of Steve's death, to officially launch the Steve Cooper Memorial Fund, Peterborough United will screen highlights of the 1992 play-off semi-final between The Posh and Huddersfield Town. Cooper netted the winning goal in a 4-3 aggregate success to set up a trip to Wembley for the final against Stockport County.
Steve's brother Kevin will officially launch the Fund and DVDs of the two games shown on the night will be available to buy for just £10. There will be a monster raffle of Posh memorabilia, with some rare and one-off items up for grabs.

Admission is free for members of PISA2000 and 50p for non members. Spaces are strictly limited, so fans are urged to arrive early. Doors open 7.30pm and all proceeds from the event will be donated to the Steve Cooper Memorial Fund.
