Former Reds heroes Brendan O'Connell and Gerry Taggart have confirmed they are interested in the vacant manager's job at Oakwell.
O'Connell told the Barnsley Chronicle:
" We are deadly serious about this and would be interested in talking to the Club owners to see if that interest is reciprocated in any way
