Norwich 2-0 Barnsley: Post Match Reaction

Last updated : 19 March 2017 By Rob Miles (BarnsleyBoy)

"Our lads have come here away to a big team like Norwich with players who probably think they should be in the Premier League and we've had enough opportunities to have won the game.

"When we played how we wanted to play, we were passing the ball better, quicker, sharper and penetrating them much easier, and we got good chances from that.

"They were the positives. The negatives though are the two goals. They were both sloppy on our part."

"First half I thought we looked flat in certain areas. Some of them were playing without belief, like they knew we weren't going to win the game.

"But that's not how we play. So we challenged them at the break to go out there and believe, and they did that. We were much better in the second half.

"But again, in terms of negatives we were very poor in front of goal, very tame and didn't take the many chances we created.

"So in essence, we got it wrong at both ends today."

"I was really pleased with how we carved out the opportunities"

"We did have a few counters which we're good at but we also created some other good chances through good football in breaking down what was at times a Norwich back 10.

"Five, six, seven, even eight times we've broken them down but like I say, the most difficult thing in football is the end-product, putting the ball in the back of the net and that's why those players are worth the money.

"I thought our full backs were great, we got a lot more surging runs forward out of them but again I felt we were too safe at times. We had opportunities to shoot, to pull the trigger and we passed the chances up.

"During the break when we get the players back we will be working on that end-product. We have to."
