A last gasp Conor Chaplin strike earns the Reds a point, thus ending a three game losing run.
For the second game in a row Barnsley opened the scoring but failed to win, the first time they have opened the scoring in back to back games without winning since April 2017 when they opened the scoring at Bristol City and lost 3-2 before scoring first against Burton and drawing 1-1 (it actually occurred four games in a row during this run)
Aapo Halme scored his first league goal in England to open the scoring (his only other goal in this country was in a FA Cup tie for Leeds in January), however the Reds were 2-1 behind at half time- the first time they have opened the scoring but were losing at the break since November 2016 when they were 1-0 and 2-1 up against Nottingham Forest but went in at the break 3-2 down (eventually losing 5-2)
Halme is the first defender to score for the Reds since the final home game of 2018-2019 (Liam Lindsay v Blackpool)
Derby got back on level terms through Chris Martin - his seventh league goal against Barnsley who become his joint most prolific opponent (also Brighton) He has also netted against the Reds in October 2016 and January 2017 for Fulham, December 2013 for Derby (2goals), and September 2010 and March 2007 for Norwich.
Derby took the lead through a Tom Huddlestone penalty - the third goal the Reds have conceded from the spot this season - it is the earliest they have conceded from three penalties since 2016-2017 when they conceded from three in their first three games.
Conor Chaplin rescued a point (with the aid of Cauley Woodrow's shin in the 94th minute) it is the latest Barnsley have scored in a game to earn points since December 2016 when Ryan Williams scored after 95 minutes to win 4-3 at Cardiff.
Barnsley played on a Wednesday for a rare occasion, however they are unbeaten on this weekday since Boxing Day 2012, winning two and drawing three since then.
This was the Reds 10th game of the league season (W1 D3 L6 F7 A17 Pts 6) - their lowest number of wins and points at this stage since 2013-2014 (1 win, 5 points)
Derby have now only lost one of their past eight away league games, though five have ended in draws (W2).
Since beating Fulham on the opening weekend, Barnsley are now winless in their past nine Championship games (D3 L6) - their worst league run since November/December 2017 (10 - D4 L6).
They have won only one of their first 11 games in all competitions for the first time since 2013-2014 when they won only one of the first 13.
The Reds have now won just four of their past 30 games at Championship level (D9 L17)
This is the first time Barnsley have won their first league game of the season but then failed to win any of the next nine since 1971-1972 when after opening a Division Three campaign with a 4-2 win over Walsall they failed to win any of their next 13 league matches - they were relegated at the end of that campaign.

Derby manager Phillip Cocu said:
"We were not effective enough in front of goal. We had some good opportunities to finish the game.
"They were a danger from set-pieces from free-kicks and corners and they scored twice. It is an important part of football and it is something we definitely have to improve."
