It was Barnsley's 19th league clean sheet of the season, the MOST in the top four tiers of English football.
It is the most clean sheets Barnsley have kept in one season (excluding playoffs) since the League One promotion season of 2005-2006 when they also kept 19.
Barnsley have conceded only 28 goals in 38 League One games, the best defensive record now in the entire Football League.
This result extended Barnsley's unbeaten away run to eight league matches, their best run since a run of nine in 2016 (including play-offs semi-final)
This was the first goal-less draw between the two teams at Doncaster since 1973 - ending a run of 15 meetings there with at least one goal scored.
This result also means that both meetings this season have ended in a stalemate (1-1 and 0-0) for the first time since 2013-2014 (0-0, 2-2)
Barnsley have failed to win any of their last five games played on a Friday (D3 L2) since a 3-2 League One victory over Colchester in November 2014.
Kenny Dougall was forced off with an injury just 18 minutes into the game - later revealed to be a broken leg which rules him out for the rest of the season - the second time this season he has been substituted in the first half after being forced off with injury 21 minutes into a 3-1 defeat at Shrewsbury in October.
Barnsley won their first three visits to the Keepmoat but have failed to win any of five since (D2 L3)
Indeed the Reds have now won only one of the last nine clashes home or away (D5 L3)
Doncaster are now unbeaten in ten home league games (W6 D4); they last went 10 without defeat in the third-tier or above in January 2007 when the club had only just begun playing at the Keepmoat Stadium and Barnsley are the first team to stop Rovers scoring at home in League One since Sunderland in October (scored in nine successive games since)
This result extended Barnsley's unbeaten league run to 18 games (W11 D7), last going longer without a loss in January 1981 (20 matches).
Barnsley have gone unbeaten in their first 14 league games of a calendar year (W8 D6) for the first time since 1939 (also 14 - W10 D4)
Doncaster had seven shots on target, the joint most by a Barnsley opponent this season (all comps) Oxford also had seven in January.
Barnsley started the game with three players with just nine league starts between them this season - Victor Adeboyejo (1), Jordan Williams (0), Ben Williams (8) whilst Zeki Fryers came on after 18 minutes for only his fourth league appearance of 2018-2019.

"I thought we were very good first half - the tempo we play at, the energy we played with. We were unlucky not to take the lead with a couple of good chances.
"Second half the game got stretched a little and I thought it was quite even, really. But it's a point for us against a very good Barnsley team and we can build on it."
