Updated Saturday, 6th March 2010
In readiness for the Reds trip to fortress St James Park, TykesMad caught up with NewcasleMad editor Kev Fletcher to get his views before Saturday's big Championship game.

Newcastle top of the league, looking good for promotion, surely you couldn’t be much happier?

Promotion guaranteed. Not because we are a good side, but because the Championship is so bad!

What’s the level of hatred towards the owner Mike Ashley now? Has it subsided somewhat now the team are doing well and the debt has gone down somewhat?

Ashley has not once made a statement to the fans since the day he took over the club, his PR is ridiculous. He keeps talking about the money he has put into the club, but what about the millions he made from transfers that "disappeared"?

If Newcastle are to secure promotion this season as looks likely, what changes would you like to see both on and off the field this summer?

Ashley go ... but who will buy the club? We showed last year we weren't good enough for the Premiership, and next season will be a struggle unless we buy BIG. I'd like to see a more experienced manager too.

Newcastle are generally seen as a major scalp in the Championship, due to this, has it surprised you how well the Toon have done this season, or was forerunners for automatic promotion the least supporters expected?

I'm surprised we've done so well because Hughton hasn't a clue about tactics, but we have the best squad in the league by a country mile. That's not to say its good enough for the Premiership. In truth, I can't believe how bad the Championship is.

What have you made of Barnsley this season?

Haven't taken much notice to be honest. I cannot tell you one player that plays for you. Sorry.

Who in the Barnsley team do you “fear” most for Saturday?

Errrrr ... the goalkeeper.

Which Newcastle player should we be wary of most?

Joey Barton if you happen to be in McDonalds.

 Prediction for this weekend?

Any win will do. 1-0 own-goal would be fine.

Prediction for how both teams will finish this season?

We will be champions, Barnsley won't be.
