A strong looking Barnsley Development Squad came from behind to beat Leeds United 3-1 at the Oakwell Academy complex this lunchtime.

A starting eleven that can boast 141 first team appearances took to the field but it was three of the club’s forgotten men who grabbed the goals. Tomasz Cywka who had made 20 appearances under Keith Hill this season but has just a 23 minute cameo in the FA Cup victory over Burnley to his name under David Flitcroft brought The Reds level before Portuguese midfielder Toni Silva, signed from Liverpool in the summer but yet to appear for The Reds put the Under 21’s in front. John Rooney, another Hill recruit yet to appear in the first team put the seal on the victory.
