Barnsley's Reserve side gave the club a morale boost before the first team's trip to Hillsborough in exactly two weeks by beating the Owls second string at Oakwell.

Fresh from destroying Grimsby 9-1 last week, a strong looking Reserve side grabbed the winner with 19 minutes remaining.

Danish striker Kim Christensen, fresh from a hat-trick against the Mariners, and surprisingly out of Simon Davey's current plans got the all important goal getting his head to a fine cross from Rhys Meynell.

The same result on the 27th November would go down a treat!
