The Reds reserves ended their season with a poor defeat at Port Vale after a crazy 16 minute spell.

The Reds took the lead after 13minutes when Danny Frost's cross struck Alex Jeannin and flew into the net.

Vale were level though 10minutes later as Jamie Lawrie sent Amari Morgan-Smith clear and he coolly finished past Kyle Letheren.

On 49minutes Vale were ahead. Christian Smith heading home a fine Jeannin cross and it was 3-1 6minutes later as Mark Soboljew raced onto Danny Glover's cross to fire home.

It turned into a rout on 59minutes as Vale added a fourth. Glover headed home after another great Jeannin cross. And it became five when Soboljew grabbed his second after Letheren could only parry a Joe Cardle shot.

The Reds got themselves a consolation in stoppage time after Jeannin completed his action packed match by bringing down Frost in the area and was promptly sent off. Jacob White fired home the penalty.
