Barnsley F.C Season Review 2009-2010

Barnsley would play just two matches in November thanks to the now infamous farce at Plymouth. The month started with a white hot South Yorkshire derby at home to Sheffield United- exactly one year after the elbow of Chris Morgan fractured Iain Hume’s skull. Both sides played out a feisty 2-2 draw, with goals from Anderson and Daniel Bogdanovic being cancelled out by two penalties from Darius Henderson.

Next, The Reds slightly erased the pain of their FA Cup Semi-Final heartbreak with a Carl Dickinson free-kick in the 94th minute being deflected in for a 1-0 victory over Cardiff. Seven days later on the 28th November, The Reds made the 300 mile trip down to Devon, and after falling behind to an eighth minute strike from Karl Duguid, were 4-1 up after half an hour with Daniel Bogdanovic, Emil Hallfredsson, Adam Hammill and Ryan Shotton running riot! But with rain lashing down, referee Gavin Ward blew the full time whistle after 58 minutes, to leave the result null and void!
