Gray Deal In Doubt?

Andy Gray's move from Charlton to Barnsley could be in doubt admid rumors Addicks boss Phil Parkinson wants a higher transfer fee.

It is believed The Reds have bid £600,000 and Reds boss Simon Davey clamied earlier in the week that this had been accepted.

Website Newsshopper though claims Parkinson has said this:

"Barnsley have been talking to us all summer about Andy Gray but at the moment the deal just doesn't add up and it is nowhere near the valuation we've got of the player.

"Andy played for a lot of last year with a stress fracture of his back, he is now fit but has only played 50 minutes in seven months.

"He looks good and has trained well.

"It is like any player, though. If the price is right and the chairman and the board decide that suits them then I'm sure it will be a different conversation.

"But at the moment, the right deal or right money hasn't happened for us."
