Today's Sunday People has reported that The Reds have had a bid of £100,000 rejected by Championship rivals Preston North End for 25 year old winger Lewis Neal.

The People Reports:

Barnsley are preparing a second move for Preston's Lewis Neal after a £100,000 bid was rejected. North End want closer to £250,000 to allow the 25 year old winger to leave.


Neal has been at Preston for 2 years after arriving at Deepdale from Stoke City.

Neal has made 55 appearances for Preston although 34 have been from the bench and has scored 3 goals.

He appeared in both game against The Reds last season, starting in the 1-0 defeat at Oakwell
