How has pre-season gone for you?

Pre-Season has gone quite well I think, had a massive clearout of players and staff and won 3 out of 3 of our friendlies.

Are you pleased with the signings your club has made?

Yeah I am. Signed two creative players in David Bell and Wes Hoolahan. A holding midfielder in Sammy Clingan, a centre-back in Dejan Stefanovic, and three loan signings; Elliott Omozusi, Ryan Bertrand and Arturo Lupoli.

What realistically are you aiming for this season?

With the players we have brought in, and the manager promising a few more, I think we can look at a top-half finish but no more. This season is more of a rebuilding exercise after the shocker last season.

Which player has past his sell by date?

I wouldn't say we have anyone past their sell by date. Obviously, two of the older players Dion Dublin and Darren Huckerby left in the summer. I suppose the closest to the "sell by date" is Jamie Cureton.

Have you got the right manager in charge?

At the time of appointment, I would have said no. But he kept us up from a seemingly impossible position and has done well in the transfer market, so now I will say Yes.

What advice would you give him?

Just to listen to supporters a little bit more. It is great that he has his own opinions, but letting fan favourites go like Darren Huckerby, will probably cause some trouble.

Who do you see as your key player?

Wes Hoolahan.

Who would you most like to beat this season?

Obviously, Ipswich Town.

Where will you finish?

I'm going to take a guess and say 10th.

How do you rate Barnsley's chances this season and where do you think they will finish ?

A slightly disappointing season last time but a great cup run obviously. But I think you have signed a couple of decent players in Darren Moore and Iain Hume, so I think you should probably be looking at mid-table.
