How has pre-season gone for you? Very well, we beat Parma on Sat 3-2 with a very good performance.

Are you pleased with the signings your club has made? A few low profile players, but seem good prospects. Our main concern was who might be sold, and so far it looks like we haven't lost much.

What realistically are you aiming for this season? Safety, with finger nails intact would be nice.

Which player has past his sell by date? Ellington, cost us £3.25m and after a season long loan Derby refused him on a free. We need him to turn it around, or get him off our wage list.

Have you got the right manager in charge? Yes, he's cheap, loyal and popular, need to give him a chance.

What advice would you give him? Get the attitude right in the camp, we may have to rely without our big players...

Who do you see as your key player? Tommy Smith

Who would you most like to beat this season? No rivals really. Maybe Reading to get back at Rodgers.

Where will you finish? 16th

How do you rate Barnsley's chances next season and where do you think they will finish? Competing with Watford for survival, finishing 18th.
