How has pre-season gone for you so far? Not too bad, a 5-0 defeat to Fulham aside, it's gone pretty well. Although to be fair, you can't read into friendlies too much.

Are you pleased with the signings your club has made? On the whole, yes. We've largely addressed the key areas although we could still do with a couple more, especially at right back due to Woods' injury. Have to admit I was disappointed with signing Eoin Doyle, but I hope he proves me wrong.

What realistically are you aiming for this season? With the likes of Aston Villa, Newcastle and various others spending & aiming to spend tonnes of cash, it's realistic to say we won't be competing for promotion. Realistically, we should be aiming for the same position as last season. Safely sat in mid-table will suit me fine for now.

Which player has past his sell by date? Bit harsh to label any current North End player with that tag. If the question was to be re-phrased as to who might struggle next season, unfortunately I'd have to say Tom Clarke (sacrilege to say that!) and Chris Humphrey. Have you got the right manager in charge?

Have you got the right manager in charge? Without a shadow of a doubt. He took us up and exceeded all expectations last season.

What advice would you give him? It'll be a lot harder next season and I don't think we'll find things as comfortable. One thing I will say is, be a little more positive attacking-wise. We have a tendency to sit back whilst holding onto a slender lead. It's rare that we beat anyone with a large scoreline.

Who do you see as your key player? Jermaine Beckford. Other PNE fans' views will differ, but we badly missed Beckford when he was out for most of last season. I think he'll be vital next season as I don't think any of our other strikers are clinical enough or possess as much skill as Beckford.

Who would you most like to beat this season? Blackburn Rovers. Their fans like to pretend they 'don't care' about us, but their reactions after both games last season says otherwise!

Where will you finish? 13th

How do you rate Barnsley's chances next season and where do you think they will finish? Every season, the promoted sides are always tipped to struggle. Hell, even I thought we would struggle. It took us a while to get going but we finished in a very comfortable position. I see no reason why Barnsley can't/won't do the same as they're similar to ourselves. I think Barnsley will finish around 15th.
