The Reds were initially allocated around 32,000 which had all sold out. The club though can now confirm that they have 800 more tickets priced at £55 and £45 on general sale today. These are available on a first come first served basis at the Lotteries Office at Oakwell.

Meanwhile former
Barnsley hero Andy Ritchie has today left his position as manager of League One Huddersfield Town after just under a year in the job. Ritchie led Barnsley into the Championship via the Play-Offs in 2006 and was appointed at Huddersfield, whom Barnsley beat in the Play-Off Semis, to do the same job.

Huddersfield have had a fairly poor season however and Saturday's 4-0 defeat at another of Ritchie's former clubs Oldham, left Town 14th in League One and 10 points off the Play-Off places. It proved to be the final straw for Town chairman Ken Davy who told
Huddersfield's Official Website:

Andy Ritchie is as nice a person as you could meet and we wish him every success in the future.

"Going forward however, our focus at
Huddersfield Town now has to be appointing a new manager for our Centenary season.

"For whatever reason the reality is that despite an increase spend and new signings, we have not progressed as we all hoped this season. We will now take a fresh look at our options.

"
Huddersfield Town has some great supporters and tremendous potential as well as great history; we need to find someone who can harness these elements as we celebrate the club's hundred years."

In the meantime Academy Manager Gerry Murphy will take over the reigns.
