A Look At The Weekend Action

Last updated : 02 March 2013 By Rob Miles (BarnsleyBoy)

.......These are the first back to back defeats under David Flitcroft and it ends their 100% home record under his tenure.

It is Barnsley’s eighth home league defeat of  the 2012-2013 campaign, the second highest in the division, but it is their first in 2013.

Barnsley have now scored in 15 successive games for the first time in 47 years.

Barnsley have also scored at least twice in seven successive matches, equalling the run of December 1999/ January 2000. The run 13 years ago went 3,3,3,2,2,2,5. This one reads 2,2,3,3,2,3,2.

Barnsley had conceded a first half goal in only one of David Flitcroft’s first nine matches, but have now conceded in the first half in each of the last three.

Both Tomasz Cywka and Chris O’Grady have scored in successive games and this was Cywka’s first home goal after scoring three on the road.
