A Look At The Weekend Action

Last updated : 06 April 2013 By Rob Miles (BarnsleyBoy)

....................Obviously these two sides were goal-less at half time. It was only the second time in 13 outings that Barnsley have been drawing 0-0 at the break.

The result though finally ends Barnsley’s scoring run after 17 successive league games.

The Reds now have 48 points, equalling their tally for 2011-2012.

They kept their third away clean sheet of the season- after the shut outs at Birmingham and Charlton. They managed only two in 2011-2012, which were in their first two away games.

It was The Reds first clean sheet at Selhurst Park since they last won there back in 2000.

They are also only the third side to stop Palace scoring at home in the league this season.

This result though does stretch the Eagles winless run to five matches,  the last four of which they have failed to score in.
