BARNSLEY Football Club paid just £5000.00 to agents during the period between July 1 and December 31, 2006.

The figure is down some £12,500 for the same period in 2005.

The figure is the joint second lowest in the Coca Cola Championship with Hull City also paying £5000.00 in agents fees. Colchester United did not pay a penny.

Barnsley's figure of £5000.00 relates to a total of 27 player transactions, including 13 new registrations and transfers; eight updated contracts and six loan deals.

Sunderland paid the most to agents during the period with more £594,500 leaving the Stadium of Light to third parties. Stoke City paid out £560,000 while Birmingham City parted with £519,950.
