Barnsley were knocked out of the FA Cup for the first time in 40 years! Marine FC who were in the Cheshire County League beat Barnsley 3-1 in November 1975.

It is the first time they have been eliminated in the first round since 2004.

It means Barnsley have lost each of their last six games in all competitions. The first time this has occurred since they lost their first six matches of the 1986-1987 season.

The Reds have lost eight of their last nine matches and failed to score in four of those.

Barnsley have failed to score a first half goal in any of their past five matches.
