Andy Ritchie appointed new Academy Director

Former Manchester United, Brighton, Leeds, Oldham and Scarborough striker Andy Ritchie has been appointed Academy Director at Oakwell.
Reds chairman Peter Ridsdale told the official Barnsley website: “We are delighted to welcome Andy to the Club as Academy Director and he will be charged with re-invigorating the youth set up at Oakwell. Andy’s track record as a professional footballer was excellent and his time at Manchester United, Brighton and Leeds United speaks for itself.

“Last year he coached the Leeds United Under 17 side to their league title and we hope he can bring the same success here to Oakwell”.
