"We are all very, very pleased at the moment. It was a game we have been looking forward to all week really and it could be pivotal for us. Having said that I think every game is getting like that now.

"Andy Ritchie has been ill today but was watching from the stands so I think he will be feeling a lot better now.

"Our lads were magnificent out there. Colchester battled and did try to play a little bit but we were deserved winners in the end. They were fantastic.

"We were wary of their set pieces and long throws but we knew that if we could get it out wide and play then we would win the game. We had a bit of luck for the goal because it was a great save and it bounced kindly for Brian in the end.

"They could have scored at the end but we battled hard and played some good stuff. We got our rewards in the end.

"You cannot rule anything out this season and it is nice to be in the thick of the promotion race. We are just taking one game at a time and we are only concentrating on getting three points at Bournemouth".
