Last Updated : 02-Feb-2017 by Rob Miles (BarnsleyBoy)

Barnsley fell behind in the fifth minute of the game, the earliest they have conceded at Oakwell since March 2016 v Southend (fourth minute)

Alex Mowatt is the first Barnsley player to be sent off on his debut since Emmanuel Frimpong in January 2014. It is the third time a Barnsley player has been red carded on debut in the space of four years as Dale Jennings was given his marching orders on the opening day of the 2013-2014 season. It is the fifth red card for Barnsley in 2016-2017.  3

It is the first time a Barnsley player has been sent off since Frimpong’s debut red in January 2014 (30th min)

Barnsley were as many as two goals behind at half time for only the second time this season- the other previous occasion was the 2-1 home defeat to Reading in September.

Barnsley have conceded at least three times on three occasions at home this season, they have only conceded at least three times twice away.

They have conceded 26 goals at home – more than anybody in the entire division- but have conceded only 18 away.

Wolves won for only the first time in six visits to Oakwell, having lost four of the previous five.

They have won back to back away games in all competitions for the first time in exactly a year.

This was only Barnsley’s third defeat in 11 league matches.

Marc Roberts scored for the fourth time for Barnsley (coming in four separate matches) It is the first time Barnsley have not won and even the first time they have conceded a goal when the new Reds captain has scored.

Barnsley scored in the final ten minutes of a match for the 15th time this season, four of those have come against Wolves.
