Barnsley will remarkably make TWO trips to Scunthorpe United in the first month of the season after being drawn against them in the First Round of the Johnstones Paint Trophy this morning.
The Reds are already making the short trip to Glanford Park on Tuesday for the First Round of the League Cup and will now travel again, most probably on Tuesday 1st September.
This will be Barnsley’s sixth venture into the competition, and they have made it past the First Round on only two occasions, 2003-2004 and 2014-2015 when they were then eliminated at the Second Round stage.
