Barnsley FC Continue To Baffle Fans

What an afternoon it has been in the lives of Barnsley Football Club fans.

An announcement on BBC Radio Sheffield at 1pm this afternoon reported that manager Mark Robins' contract had been terminated.

The reason given was that of a breakdown in relations between Robins and much maligned owner Patrick Cryne regarding next seasons transfer and wage budgets.

The BBC also reported that Robins had been informed by a formal letter that he would serve a 12-month notice period as per the terms of his contract.

But the latest revelation comes from Radio Sheffield's Paul Walker on Twitter. He has tweeted: "Barnsley FC have promised to talk to BBC RS tmrw to explain the Mark Robins situation. He has NOT left the club as reported elsewhere!"

You would think any normal club would release some sort of statement or announcement. Watch this space, there could be more to come.
