Barnsley to be given League share back in summer

Barnsley should regain their Football League share in the close season. Owner Peter Doyle and secretary Michael Spinks have met with officials from the League and FA.

Doyle said: "At the meeting the remaining requirements of the football authorities were set out and it is now anticipated that all should be satisfied during the next few weeks with the membership being transferred to the new company in the summer months."
