Interesting Stats:

Burton are trying to adjust to life without Gary Rowett as manager. The man who led the Brewers to the League Two play-offs in each of the last two seasons defected for Birmingham last month and his former side drew at the weekend in their first match without him.

After winning eight of their first nine matches of the season in all competitions, Burton have won just three of the following 11, losing seven.

They have managed to win two of their last three away matches.

The Brewers have advanced beyond the first round of the FA Cup in each of the last two seasons and five of the last six.

Burton have been drawn away in the first round for the first time since 2011.

Barnsley enter the competition at this stage for the first time since 2005.

In the four years they were a League One side between 2002 and 2006 they were eliminated at the first round stage twice.
