Burton manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink said:

"It was hard. Look we are at Bolton away - a big club. Good players. We knew it was always going to be hard, difficult. We knew at times we were going to have our back against the wall and defend in numbers. I thought we did that.

"You know in these matches that your goalkeeper is going to get some work and that he has to be in the best form and I think he was. Our back four looked good. Then you get a moment and we have players who can give you those moments.

"We had to change things tactically after 20 minutes and after we did that we looked really good."

Interesting Stats

These two sides meet for only the second time ever. The only previous clash was in the first round of the FA Cup last November when The Reds thumped the Brewers 5-0 at Oakwell.

Burton have remarkably lost just three of 32 matches since their humbling at Oakwell, and two of those came back to back!

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink’s side have won 21 of those games including five of the last six and both they have played in 2015-2016.
