Crewe manager Steve Davis said:
“The real negative was conceding three goals again. I thought we deserved to be 2-1 ahead at half-time and that should have been the platform to go on and control the game and the possession more but it didn’t happen.
“We haven’t been able to produce that complete 90 minute performance. We haven’t been able to show that determination, organisation, concentration and quality for the whole game. It is difficult to do that regardless of who you are, but that is what we try and do.
“We lost control of the game and when that happens, they panicked a bit, made poor decisions and ended up conceded those two goals.”

Crewe are managed by Steve Davis who is the current sixth longest serving manager in the Football League (behind Paul Tisdale-Exeter, Karl Robinson-MK Dons, Dean Smith-Walsall, Jim Bentley-Morecambe and Phil Parkinson-Bradford) after joining Crewe back in November 2011.
