Interesting Stats:

This will be the first meeting between the sides for 10 years.

Barnsley need four more goals to reach 100 v Notts County.

Notts County have won just three times at Oakwell, but have managed to draw there an incredible 15 times from 31 visits.

This includes each of the last three and four of the last five.

It was six Oakwell meetings ago that Barnsley last emerged victorious, back in April 1991.

Notts County’s epic 5-3 win over Crawley at the weekend was their four successive win and extended their unbeaten run to nine matches.

They have also lost just one of the last 12, winning seven to sit in the League One play-off places.

The Magpies have won four games in a row for the first time since March 2012. They have not won five on the bounce since a seven game winning run in April 2010.

This nine game stretch since they last tasted defeat is their best since November/ December 2012.

Shaun Derry’s side arrive at Oakwell still unbeaten on the road this season, now one of just three League One clubs with this record after Barnsley inflicted Bradford’s first away defeat last weekend.

The Magpies have conceded just two away goals this season, the best record in the Football League.

One of those goals was conceded in the first game of the 2014-2015 campaign so they have conceded just once in four away matches since.

It is not just away that County are tight at the back. With former Manchester United and current Northern Ireland shot stopper between the posts, Roy Carroll, they have let in just 10 goals in their 12 league matches, the best record in the division. The three they let in to Crawley at the weekend was only the second time this season that they have conceded more than once in a game.

Notts County have lost just two of their opening 12 league matches, their best start to a season since they lost two of their first 13 in 2008-2009.

Barnsley are hunting for only their third home win in 11 league games at Oakwell. Victory tomorrow would give them two home wins in a row for the first time since March.

The Reds are looking to score in five games in a row in all competitions for the first time since the turn of the year.
