Dale Jennings is all but ruled out for the rest of the season after turning over his ankle in training this week. The winger who has not started a match since January may have played his last game for the club.

Jean-Yves Mvoto and Ross Turnbull are also sidelined with manager Lee Johnson hinting he could give a number of fringe and younger players their chance this weekend as he plans for next season.

Interesting Stats:

This fixture usually produces goals. There has been 31 in the last nine clashes and there has not been a goal-less draw in any of the last 21 meetings.

Indeed, drawing is not something these two teams tend to do when they lock horns. Only one of the last 15 has ended in a stalemate.

Barnsley have lost each of their past three meetings with the Posh. Prior to this they had won five of six.

Peterborough have emerged from Oakwell victories from two of their last five visits, including the most recent in 2012.

Victory for the Posh tomorrow will see them tie up the head to head meetings at Oakwell at seven wins apiece.

Two teams meet tomorrow who have seen their play-off aspirations fade in recent weeks and both sit on 58 points from 43 games, now nine points adrift of the top six.

Like Barnsley, the Posh dispensed of one of their former promotion winning managers (Darren Ferguson) in February after they fell to 15th in the table.

They won their first four under the caretakership of Dave Robertson and five of the first six which saw them claim that final play-off spot, deposing of Barnsley in the process.

However they have failed to win any of their last five since then, losing three.

Last time out the Posh managed a 1-1 draw with relegation threatened Crewe, the first time they have managed to score in their past five matches.

They have managed only five goals in their past 10 matches and their overall tally of 47 so far this season is the second lowest amongst the division’s top 14 sides.

It would be best to avoid Peterborough on a Both Teams To Score acca, this has only happened twice in their past 13 outings.

Peterborough have lost each of their past three away matches and five of their last seven without scoring.

They have lost 11 times on their travels this season; only four sides have lost more, whilst only five have lost more than their overall total of 19.

Peterborough have won only three times this season after conceding the opening goal, one of those was against Barnsley.
