Plymouth manager Steven Schumacher said:
"We spoke early on in the week that we expected Derby to come and have a right go at us and they did.
"They started the game really well and took the lead, probably deservedly so, but I felt once they scored we settled down a little bit and our players started passing it to a green shirt.
"In the second half we were outstanding and I felt that we deserved to win the game."
