Barnsley have made their fourth signing of the summer and the third this week with the expected capture of Cameron McGeehan with the 22 year old midfielder joining on a three year deal from League Two side Luton Town for an undisclosed fee.

McGeehan began his career at Chelsea before moving to Norwich where he captained their Youth side to FA Youth Cup success in 2013.

He initially moved on loan to Luton in January 2014 and helped them regain their Football League status that season.

McGeehan had two more loan spells at Kenilworth Road before signing permanently on a free in the summer of 2015 and he scored 25 goals in 73 appearances during this time but suffered a broken leg in January (after netting 11 times this campaign) which ended his season. At this point Luton were in sixth position and they went on to make the end of season play-offs where they were defeated by Blackpool.
