Chesterfield-Mads preview of tomorrow's vital derby clash

Last updated : 24 September 2004 By Paul Fisher
So far this season for the Spireites has been all highs (even losing to
Rotherham in the Carling Cup because we outplayed them). The opening day
stuffing of Brentford really kicked it off for us, we then got a draw
against Huddersfield and our first away defeat against Tranmere.

The emergence of our Congolese born frenchman T'cham N'Toya is refreshing
this boy has real talent and with five goals already who's to say he can't
make the magical 20 goal mark, this boy is quick and along with our loanee
Jamal Campbell-Ryce from Charlton we must have the quickest team in the
league. Barnsley Beware.

The Spireites have only lost twice on their travels (Tranmere and Luton) but
won only the once at Bradford after being 2-0 a Shane Nicholson penalty and
a brace from Caleb Folan doing the damage.

With confidence behind us we are a completely different side to last year
where we scraped results along this year it's been positive and it would
appear that we have a game plan unfortunately we are going to be without
Derek Niven for three weeks due to some ahem.....tackling by the Walsall
players last week, he will be a big loss to the centre of midfield.

So to yourselves the records over the past two seasons have been very even
each winning two apiece home and away. I'll go for the draw on saturday
then.

Good Luck for the season except Saturday
