Conlon Switches To Rotherham!!!!!

Last updated : 13 October 2005 By BarnsleyBoy

Striker Barry "Big Baz" Conlon has moved to South Yorkshire rivals Rotherham United on a 3 month loan deal!

Conlon who joined The Reds in summer 2004 was a leading contender for last season's Player of the Year award before being struck down with a groin injury.

Unfortunately Baz has never really recovered from it and has failed to shine this season.

Conlon has started 9 games for The Reds this season and scored the opening goal in the 2-0 victory over Nottingham Forest.
The Reds front-line has looked lacklustre with him in it this season though. Ritchie sticked with the Hayes-Conlon partnership through 3 consecutive league scoring blanks before switching to Hayes-Nardiello. The result? A 4-0 win.

Due to his loan agreement Conlon can not play against Barnsley but to be fair a fully fit and happy Barry Conlon is a major threat in this league.

GOOD LUCK BAZZA!

On a small note it has been rumored that a certain Michael Chopra is looking to go out on loan after failing to break into the Newcastle United side. Wonder if he'd be any good........
