Davey Set To Miss Out On Adam

Reds boss Simon Davey is set to miss out on one of his top summer transfer targets as Rangers Charlie Adam is on the brink of rejoining Blackpool.

Davey has had two bids for Adam (believed to be £250,000 and £400,000) rejected for the 23 year old, who spent time on loan at Bloomfield Road last season.

And now it seems almost certain Adam will return to the Seasiders after they agreed a fee with the Scottish giants reported to be £500,000.

Meanwhile Davey has added a fourth trialist to his squad for this week's pre-season friendlies at Buxton and at home to Ferencvaros. Former Sheffield United defender Maxime Chanot joins Chris Ramsey, David Preece and Dean Morgan in the squad.
