League One Walsall’s army of ex or current Barnsley players has been extended after striker Liam Dickinson completed a one month loan move to the Banks Stadium in time for their match with Peterborough last night.

The 25 year old who has struggled for game time since his reported £150,000 move from Brighton in the summer and has made just three substitute league appearances joins up with ex Reds Julian Gray and Jon Macken, along with winger Martin Devaney who is also on loan from Oakwell.

All four started last night for the Saddlers but despite Gray getting on the score sheet they were defeated 3-1 to remain rooted to the bottom of League One, five points adrift of safety.
