Duo Return From Saddlers Stint

Martin Devaney and Liam Dickinson have both returned to the club after their loan stints at League One strugglers Walsall ended.

Winger Devaney has been at the Banks Stadium since October, playing five times scoring once but suffered a hamstring injury against Fleetwood Town in the FA Cup at the weekend and has returned to Oakwell for treatment. Striker Dickinson joined up with Chris Hutchings’ side at the start of November and made seven appearances but failed to get on the score-sheet.

Meanwhile former Barnsley striker Daniel Bogdanovic is said to be gutted to miss a reunion with the Reds when his current side Sheffield United arrive for the South Yorkshire derby on Saturday. The 30 year old Maltese striker scored 16 goals in 45 games for the Reds in a year and a half stint but then acrimoniously left for Bramall Lane on a free transfer in the summer.

He will miss this weekend’s clash as he serves a three match suspension.

Blades boss Gary Speed told the Sheffield Star:

"Boggy will be desperately disappointed not to be taking part, I'm sure," "It goes without saying that we'd rather he was available."
