Barnsley skipper Mitch Ward has recovered from a recurring hamstring injury and will be looking to lead his side to the three points which would put the Reds within reach of Second Division safety.

Ward has passed a fitness test and will replace Lee Crooks in midfield.

Left-back Paul Gibbs is in contention for a place on the bench after playing for the reserves during the week.

For Peterborough Jason Lee is definitely out through suspension while fellow striker Leon McKenzie is also a major doubt.

Midfielder Tony Scully (on-loan from Cambridge) could start after a scoring debut in the Posh reserves.
