On loan striker Gary Birch makes his home debut when Second Division leaders Plymouth come to Oakwell in a game the Reds must win if they are serious about at least having an outside chance of reaching the play-offs.

Skipper Peter Handyside is back in contention after playing an hour in the reserves victory over Rotherham in midweek.

Chris Shuker (subbed early on at Swindon) has shaken off a hamstring problem and will definitely start.

Lee Crooks and Brian O'Callaghan could return to the squad after injury but the subs bench is again likely to include a few youngsters.
