Early Team news: Grimsby Town v Barnsley

Dean Gorre is the Reds main worry with a sore knee and he is unlikely to be risked at present.

Defender Neil Austin returns after a one-match ban but manager Gudjon Thordarson is set to play the same team that drew 0-0 with Wycombe at Oakwell on Saturday.

This means the ineffective looking three-pronged attack of Daniel Nardiello, Mark Stallard and Michael Boulding will be given another chance.

Grimsby will have Isaiah Rankin in their line-up after been granted permission to play the forward on loan from the Reds while Michael Boulding returns to his former club having failed to score for the Reds in his first two games.
